Welcome to the ABOUT FATBOY RACING section

of the FATBOY RACING website on the World Wide Web

The FATBOY RACING! team concept was born out of a previous (unnamed!) team where the atmosphere was at best described as “glum.”

After several torturous seasons, Charles Finelli, Brendan Puderbach, Thom Reilly (the original FatBoys) decided things needed to change so we formed our own team and our sole purpose to have fun whilst trying to do our best on track.

In 2017, FatBoy Racing! became the Pro Mazda National Class Champions with Puderbach behind the wheel!  (seriously, how the heck did that happen?!)

Come follow our adventure on the Road to Indy in the Indy Pro 2000 Championship presented by Cooper Tires. You might even find us racing off-road in the Baja 1000

or maybe even the Indy 500…..

Some of the FatBoy Racing Team:

BRENDAN PUDERBACH

Team Owner / IT Consultant (he knows e-mail)

CHARLES FINELLI

Driver #83 / Former Allman Brothers Roadie

JIM LOCKE

Crew Chief / Likes Beef-n-cheese

Hi, my name is Brendan Puderbach and I am a little sausage dog from New York.

He likes pizza before breakfast and sleeps in a ball of moist towelettes.   He likes long walks on the beach and using clichés for no reason what-so-ever.

Oh, he was also the 2017 RTI Pro Mazda National Class Champion and is one of the nicest team owners around. True Story.

Jim Locke is one of the few “normal” FATBOY racing personnel.

He is actually good at his job and is a great mechanic. He even has his own shop, Jim Locke Automotive.

Jim Locke is now in debt $14 as per his request for the webmaster to “be nice” with his biography (for a fee). On that note, Jim Locke has been voted  the sexiest FatBoy since 2009.

Charles Finelli may be the single best driver ever to hit the track. Even better than Lewis Hamilton, whom Charles had spent time with discussing the art of the apex and how to get the most out of a set of tires.

Charles raced in the epic Baja 1000 and even finished past the guys from BBC’s Top Gear.
